Happy birthday to my: BFF, sister from another mister, confidant, friend for life, Auntie to Abby, and honest to God one heck of an amazing woman and future Mrs. Wozniak! I don't know what I would do without you and I thank God for philosophy class and meeting you! We have so many more journeys ahead of us and I am honored to conquer them together with you ♥ I seriously love you and I am looking forward to every minute together with you this upcoming week; because there is no distance to great enough to ever separate us!

First Mothers Day Moments

My first Mothers Day was incredible. Scott took us out for a picnic on the beach and I soaked in every moment on the water with our precious little beauty. This afternoon was so very relaxing and invaluable to my soul. I have a new found respect for all mothers, especially my own. What a true labor of love it is and I am so thankful for having such a wonderful, supportive, hard-working husband that enables me to be a great new little mama. (Thanks Hubbs!!)

Today, I officially conquered breastfeeding (discretely) in public at the beach and I am so proud of us. I never want to feel as though we can't go somewhere because we aren't comfortable. Let me be blunt; I have no issue with anyone who chooses to breastfeed in public, I personally want to do it without exposing myself because that is how I am comfortable. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a breastfeeding advocate. So thank you to everyone, especially my friends and family who has supported me with my choice :) 

Thank you to OUR Mom's for your love, encouragement, and devotion. We are grateful for all that you do and have done for us throughout the years. 

Grandparents to the Rescue

No words needed for all the love above. We are so thankful for my parents coming down to visit  us and all of their help during this new chapter in our lives. XoXo

1 month full of expressions

Wow, this month has gone by so quickly! Our precious little Abby is full of expressions these days! She has learned to focus on more images, she especially enjoys staring at all of our black and white frames in the our rooms. Abby has become more alert and staying awake more and more with each day. She loves the feeling of her fuzzy butterfly blanket while she grips it tightly, and her favorite place to sleep is on our chest. Tummy time consists of Abby usually falling asleep but I am sure she will be more active in the near future.  Some days she looks so much like Scott, while other days she looks like me. I am so thankful that we can see one another in her, that is a true gift from God!

 At 16 days old she FINALLY regained and surpassed her birth weight! We are both still very sleep deprived since we have to feed her at least every three hours. However, Scott has been AMAZING at supporting me with our nursing. He has changed nearly EVERY diaper and I am so very thankful for his hard work and support. My parents just visited and we were grateful for their time with us, a BIG THANK YOU to Bumpa and Gram for a visiting and for all of their help!
