32 weeks of birthing

We attended the second half of our birthing class at the hospital this week. I am so grateful that we took advantage of this opportunity because Scott and I both feel a lot more prepared in regards to making birthing decisions. Most importantly, Scott is going to be a great advocate for both baby and mommy when and if necessary! Birthing has a lot of potential outcomes, and I pray that we can be as natural as possible. However, God is in control and we are confident that He is by our side on all avenues.

The baby's nursery is staring to fall together piece by piece. We are having fun adding little touches of glam to her room with crystal inspired knobs on drawers and doors. The hunt is currently on for the perfect wall shelf unit for above the changing dresser. There is one on The Land of Nod that is simple that I adore, so Scott may try to build it himself.

I'm feeling antsy and ready to start washing clothes and blankets that we have been so generously receiving, but I'm going to do my best to hold off until after our upcoming baby shower. I can feel nesting kicking in at full force and it is a powerful thing! By the way, I am so very excited to see everyone this weekend!

Lately, I have been feeling more and more pregnant. That means Scott has been helping me a lot more with heavier chores around the house and I am so thankful for him.
I have also learned to turn the phone off and just put aside time to rest, relax, and rejuvenate.
Even if it is just a 20 minute nap it can be amazing.

This weeks highlight: I finally cut my hair and lost 6 inches of curls!

All you need is love

Surprise tokens of love left by the Hubbs in the morning

Valentines Day with the Hubbs
This Valentines Day was bursting full of love! The morning started with little sweet surprises left for me from the hubbs next to my coffee; loving words and a heart shaped treat. This was followed by a bouquet of beautiful white blooms at work to remind me of our wedding day. Yes, Scott has always been the romantic and I will never take that for granted :)

Then we were blessed with a surprise baby shower at work during lunch! We are so touched by the thoughtfulness of my coworkers, the delicious food, and loving gifts! We are grateful to have faithful and loving people who surround us and our blessed little on to come. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts!

31 weeks and a pineapple

Baby girl is the size of a pineapple this week. She is moving all the time these days; her dancing moves first start when the Joy FM goes off in the morning on my alarm clock. This little girl sure loves to dance. Baby Girl also loves lunch time, she knows when I'm late for lunch and gives me a gentle reminder. 10 pm and 2 am tend to be her scheduled gymnastic rountines and she has been making sure that she wakes me up to show off all her new (and sometimes painful) moves.

We had our first birthing class this week and took a tour of the hospital we plan to deliver at. This hospital is gorgeous; new private rooms and baby rooming in with their mommies were some golden perks. Security was also top notch, no one gets in or out of the birthing units without an approved employee, and there are no limited visiting hours. We both learned a lot from birthing positions to the hubbs roll in support mommy during labor.

Lent started this week, and I am making this a challenge for myself to encourage healthy eating and not exhausted eating from her until the end of the pregnancy. I know that since I have been feeling more pregnant lately, my food choices have been less nutritious and more convenience based. Therefore, I'm going to nip this in the tail now before it effects me and the baby negatively. So here's to getting my apron back on and meal planning calendar planned and printed. I have the tools I need and I'm getting back to using them.

This weeks cravings: Grilled Cheese and Clementines

Turning 30 weeks

We are officially 30 weeks over here! Can you believe it? Time is just flying by as fast as frozen yogurt melts in the Florida sun. This was a very fun week between frozen yogurt and sunsets, who can complain?

"To-Do" lists are getting longer instead of shorter these days and I have the constant urge to be cleaning and making sure the house is in order. The house is far from perfect and it is making me antsy knowing little girl could make her arrival in what seems like no time.

I went shopping this weekend with my friend Michelle and finally bought a few pairs of maternity pants. Even though I bought one pair awhile ago, I barely wore them. The Bebe Band does amazing things during pregnancy for pants; did you know it can hold up your pants when unbuttoned? Oh yeah! And it bought me nearly 30 weeks of my normal work clothes during this pregnancy! That would be my greatest find during pregnancy and I will be stocked and ready for the next time. That little band saved me a ton of money!

This weeks craving: Blueberries, and frozen yogurt :)
