In June, for our Anniversary, we decided to visit where our love bloomed and venture to St. Augustine. Since this week also consisted of Scott's (30th!!!) Birthday and his first Father's Day, it was a weekend full of celebrations. Not only did we bring our 2 month old Abby, but our two pups along for the ride as well!

With the baby and the dogs, going sailing was crossed off the list this year. So instead of staying in a historic downtown bed and breakfast, we opted for an Atlantic beach front hotel. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! Our fail proof plan was to stay on the beach so if we couldn't go anywhere due to the baby, at least we had a beautiful ocean view to enjoy! This weekend was all about us, so we were selfish, and turned off our phones. It was great to disconnect and we highly recommend doing this on special occasions :)
Thankfully our trip went flawless. We walked the beach, walked to dinner at the Vilano Beach Pier, watched the sunset, and had a private family birthday/anniversary/fathers day party in our room :)
Scott had so many gifts, you would of thought it was a Christmas celebration! My and his personal favorite though was his Birthday Jar full of 30 handwritten Love Notes of Affirmation. Since our trip, he pulls a note out when he feels like a pick-me-up and then he leaves them around the house in surprise spots for me to re-read and I love it!

With so many highlights during our trip, our favorite time together was watching the sunrise. There is nothing better then being with the people you love and watching the sun rise over a new day that God has created for you.
It is breathtaking, peaceful, and memorable.

| Vilano Beach, St. Augustine, FL; Atlantic Ocean Sunrise |
After sunrise, we went to historic downtown St. Augustine to enjoy a scrumptious breakfast at the Bunnery Bakery. We walked around downtown during the early morning hours and beat the heat of the day while enjoying the fun shops.
Afterward we went back to the beach for one last walk on the beach and a swim for the dogs. Max runs right in the ocean while Ralph runs away from each wave that "comes after him". Let's just say, everyone slept on the way home, including the dogs!

Our first family trip to St. Augustine was the perfect getaway for our little crew. We are thankful that we were able to cram in so much in two days, but we learned packing a baby for one night is a major production! Even though we are getting better at becoming minimal packers, Abby comes with A LOT of stuff :) We go on our first plane ride with Abby with us next week, keep us in your prayers!!
